Scott Berger is Innocent

Posted: April 26, 2011 in Scott Berger, Uncategorized

Welcome to my website.  Hopefully one day I will add more to this website to prove my father was innocent of any wrong doing before his death occurred. He unfortunately passed away before his day in court and since has been labeled as one of the “cronies” behind the NYC CityTime Scandal. My Family and I know he was innocent of any fradulent money stolen from city tax payers and hopefully one day I will have the proof to explain that in detail.

It is very upsetting to read on certain blogs that people think his family would want to “kill” him off so we can keep the stolen gains. I find it pathetic how people hide behind their computers and say what they want.  For more information to what my father was involved with I will show you a few links and you can keep your opinions to yourself.

My Father worked hard for his money which included nights, weekends and even while on vacation.   The problem at hand was he was given a position to hire/fire consultants by his boss Mark Mazer. What these consultants do not realize is everyday my father would fight for them to stay and thought he was going to be fired for sticking up for some co-workers.  They seem to think my father was involved since Mark and him had a business relationship with him being his boss.  A lot of people have some certain feelings that he was involved in stealing NYC Taxpayers money, but in reality he was just being used as a “mark”.  It is funny how people do not consider innocent people get dragged down into corruption without knowing but that is the world we live in.  He was charged with stealing  $ 1,400,000 out of $80,000,000.  On the contrary that was his salary to his company SRB Consulting for the 5 years which can be proven with working with the City Time project.

My Father was lucky to have received an inheritance from my Grandfather which was land in New Mexico. He sold that land a few years after receiving it.  He decided to build a home for his retirement in Tampa, Fl.  People who he worked with perceived that my father built that house with stolen tax payers money. They were completely wrong.  This house is now belly up with the real estate in Florida going drastically down hill. Sounds like someone who has millions of dollars would do that.

Unfortunately my father’s business account was frozen when all this scandal took place.  There was  a robust amount of money in the account which was $7,000+ dollars.  He did not have to go to his secret safety deposit box with a duffel bag like other defendants were doing days after the arraignment.  He did not have 2 Long Island Mansions in his name, he did not own a pre-school that was found taking other city contracts after the fact, nor did he have 6 brand new cars in his name.  Plus he did not have a reputed lawyer Gerry Shargel who has has represented former mafia boss John J. Gotti in his back pocket. That is who Mark Mazer has representing his whole family. Oh if you did not know yet, Mark Mazer, his uncle, his wife and Mark’s mother were apart of the original indictment and when the 2nd indictment was handed down in February 10th I believe a distant cousin of his was added as well. What I believe is the government was going to use my father like a pawn for information and it back fired on them.  Of course the federal government  does not want to talk to his lawyer (who has said on multiple occasions he was innocent of any wrong doing and had proof of all said monies) anymore because he was taken off the indictment all together. I guess they got what they wanted, his death in court like many bloggers are saying he deserved.  Sounds like land of a free. How does the saying go again; Guilty until your proven innocent?

He was not making such a lavish living like his manager was.  Mark Mazer is the guilty person that dragged my father down this turmoil of a mess which ended up being a result in his death in my opinion.  A lot of stress and a tremendous amount of embarrassment was mounting like no other on his shoulders.  To have lived such a good life providing for his 3 sons, and a wife and to have to end it such a way I would ask no one to go through because I was there when he left and it was hard enough for me to deal with him passing on with such embarrassment over his head.  Hopefully one day that will all go away for my sake

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Unfortunately we do live in a world of guilty until proven innocent. Best of luck with your cause.
